Constantin Fahlberg (1850-1910)
Overview
Constantin Fahlberg (December 22, 1850, in Tambov, Russia - August 15, 1910, in Nassau, Germany) is most known for his discovery, along with Ira Remsen, of saccharin. The discovery was announced February 27, 1879 while Fahlberg was a postdoctoral researcher in Ira Remsen's laboratory at Johns Hopkins University.
