Theodore G. Wormley (1826-1897)

Theodore George Wormley (b. April 1, 1826 - d. January 2, 1897) in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania was a medical doctor who became a professor of chemistry and toxicology. His main work, The Micro Chemistry of Poisons which was written while he was a professor of chemistry and toxicology at the University of Pennsylvania, was the first American book dedicated to poisons. This book established him as a leading microchemist and also a poison expert which subsequently got him called to testify at countless trials.
